The European Suite is our premier accommodation and was once the Masters Quarters of the house. The bright and airy sitting room with access to a private gallery that overlooks the historic Esplanade allows guests a private retreat to unwind after adventuring to one of our city's many historic attractions. It is appointed with a comfortable sleeper sofa that opens to a queen size bed. A pair of easy chairs , coffee table and 18th Century Trumeau mirror complete the rooms furnishings. On the walls are a collection of lithographs of the owner's travels throughout Europe. Both sitting room and the bedroom have 12-foot ceilings and retain original fireplace mantles and ceramic tile hearths. Guests are asked to use the gallery for smoking. There is a small refrigerator in the bedroom closet stocked with complimentary soda's, juice and bottled water.
The European Suite's spacious bedroom recall's Europe's Imperial past. It is painted a rich and romantic "Opera House Red", a popular color found in many historical New Orleans homes. The king size bed is outfitted with 450 count cotton bedding and piled high with an assortment of pillows to suit almost any individual's tastes.
The spacious bathroom is original to the house and has wainscoting, an antique marble sink and antique claw-foot bathtub outfitted with a shower. We feature Greenwich Bay Natural and Eco-friendly amenities and thick, plush California Cotton Spa towels.
